Free install, Pro install, and best practices for production.

Install the Free version

  1. Go to WordPress Admin → Plugins → Add New.
  2. Search for the plugin name (e.g., “BrenWP Backup”).
  3. Click Install, then Activate.

Install the Pro version

  1. Download the Pro ZIP from your purchase email or customer area.
  2. Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
  3. Upload ZIP → Install → Activate.
  4. Enter your license key (if applicable) in the plugin settings.

Production checklist

  • Test on staging first (recommended).
  • Confirm PHP and WordPress versions match supported ranges.
  • Verify permissions and cron (if the plugin uses scheduled tasks).
  • Review logs after the first run.
